Wicked White | Michelle A. Valentine

Wicked White is about a rockstar, Ace, who leaves fame and fortune behind after the death of his foster mother. Since he is breeching his contract, he goes into a place of hiding, which happens to be a trailer park owned by a wannabe Broadway star, Iris. The two become stuck in a romance that doesn’t seem like it can ever work out. For a more complete summary, you can go here.

Well, this was definitely a romance. It had a few vivid sex scenes, but it was not erotica. I suppose one thing I hate about romance novels, is that the whole time, no matter what happens, you know the two people will end up in the end (unless it’s a Nicolas Sparks book). It takes a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me. Fine—fight, runaway from each other, break up, whatever—I know you will get back together.

With that said, it was a pretty good book. It was easy to read and it definitely was enjoyable. I thought both of the main characters were likable. Although, a few times Ace came across as stalkerish (but not as bad as some leading men—I’m looking at you Christian Grey).

I’m actually having a hard time coming up with something else to say about this book. It was good, but not memorable. I honestly had to look up the female lead’s name before writing this post. I would recommend it as a light, quick read for people who love romances. Just don’t expect something innovative.  If you are interested in buying the book, you can buy it hereAfter you have read it, leave a comment and let me know what you think!
